I am so far from home
The home I miss so damn much
Travel is my crutch

Haiku 5
Live your life in a
Memorable kinda way,
And make this world yours.
Haiku 4
All I do is work,
My humanity is gone.
Return to nature.
Haiku 3
I am driving north
To the Minnesota snow
My wife I miss so
Haiku 2
On the long way home,
I must make sure I survive,
The long way, I’ll live.
Haiku 1
I’m here everyday.
This place will devastate me.
Is this job okay?
My idle mind
My idle mind creates my life.
It takes the nothing given to me,
Turns my pen into the knife
That whittles the page and ends my strife.
The words contort on the paper splendidly,
They form the message I see in my head.
Please read them lest I find them dead.
Read them and set them free.
The Knee That Does Not Bend
I kneel before no god’s hand
Nor no man of any other land
For I am one with the universe
With the collective I converse
And alone I will walk the sand
There Once was a Man Who Looked, But couldn’t see.
There once was a man who looked but couldn’t see. He was smart for he studied constantly.
But for all his knowledge, he couldn’t see.
He couldn’t see what life was. In all his studying he lost sight of what’s important. Sure he knew math, and science, stars, and even religions.
But what he found in studying he lost in
Life.
He lost what life was and what it could be,
For He was the man that looked but couldn’t see
Man on a Sabbatical
Let me give you a hypothetical
About a man on a sabbatical
Not much is known after his birth
As if he had vanished from earth
Then at 33 he is now a radical
Where was he for all those years
He definitely wasn’t with peers
Yet now at 33 he had 12 students
Teaching them with much prudence
While holding back all the tears
But the hypothetical is this
Was he in the great abyss?
Was he learning in the east
The the Taoists did he feast?
Did he learn to predict the kiss?
What if he wasn’t really a savior?
What if he was just a man of yore?
What if he learned from the mystics
Out in the far east Indian sticks?
What if it was thier stories he bore?
